Our society is full of alliances and allegiances. And quite the opposite, we all have those ideologies and organizations that would not like to associate with. But is there a way to simplify how we choose sides?
“What fellowship has light with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14) This makes the line of demarcation clear. Light and darkness cannot mix. It is even scientifically impossible. The presence of light drives out darkness.
And this verse alludes to that impossibility. What fellowship, alliance, or collaboration can light have with darkness? It can’t. It’s impossible. And by identifying that darkness, we can more clearly apply light to that entity.
