Is there more than one way to shine? And what is my purpose for shining? And does that purpose return to fan the flame, causing it to burn brighter.
Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16) I love those two words “so shine!” It could read, “Let your light in this manner shine.” What manner is that? In the world (verse 14a). On a hill (verse 14b). In the home (verse 15b). Is my manner of shining this multi-faceted?
And the purpose for shining? 1) Display good works. 2) Glorify the Heavenly Father. Am I fulfilling my purpose and brightening a dark world?
