Like a shriveled creature of the night, I used to hide in the dark corners of my heart and shrink away from hope. But I no longer stay there.
Someone came looking for me. “-proclaim the excellencies of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9) That One? That was God! He called my name. He woke my soul. He drew me out of my darkness and into His marvelous light.
And now what? Now, I proclaim His excellency. I share with other who still wait in darkness that Someone cares, that Someone calls, that Someone provides a new home in the warm sunlight of His grace.
