It’s true. Sometimes, it feels like the good we do, goes unrecognized, like there is no real benefit or reward. But this is just not true.
One prophecy promises, “Then shall your light break forth as the morning, and your health shall spring forth speedily…And if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in obscurity, and your darkness shall be as noonday.” (Isaiah 58:8a, 10) Light is actually the reward for caring for the hungry and feeding the afflicted. This is not only personal light that breaks forth in our souls.
But one day, nations that cared for the needy shall appreciate the light of God breaking forth over the globe.
Are you looking to light your life? Am I? May we open our hearts to the needs of others and then reap the reward of glorious light.
