Does this world seem dark? Open evil, oppression, and abuse run rampant. Hope and light become dim and forgotten. So, what can be done about it?
Jesus offers Himself as the hope and light, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) But is this Light conditional? Do I follow Jesus closely and stay near the Source of Light? Do you?
Jesus, the Light, dispels the darkness of evil, oppression, and abuse. Jesus is the hope. He lights our world with the possibility of a beautiful future.
