Garden Club Reflections: The Voice of God, part 4

“The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire. The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the LORD makes the hinds to calve and discovers the forests: and in His temple does everyone speak of His glory.” (Psalm 29:7-9) The voice of the LORD jumpstarts the seasons and causes new life to spring forth from His creatures. His voice shakes the forests and divides the flames.

                  In the Scripture, God’s Son is known as Logos, the Word. This is evident in the first several verses of the Gospel of John. God’s powerful, authoritative voice IS actually synonymous with His dear Son, Jesus. May we learn to listen to the voice of God, read His Word, study His directives. He is powerful.
