Garden Club Reflections: Jesus' Voice, part 2

“And when He puts forth His own sheep, He goes before them, and the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice.” (John 10:4) Whenever the Shepherd moves His sheep, there’s a very short season of uncertainty. This happens to the sheep out of the sheepfold first. They sit out of the safety, exposed, waiting for the rest of the sheep and the direction of the Shepherd. Any change brings this insecurity.

But because the sheep recognize the voice of the Shepherd, they trust His leadership and follow Him when He indicates it’s time to move forward. As this season gets darker, let’s practice listening to the voice of Jesus, through His Word. His Truth should be obvious. And then let’s follow Him to safety and calm. Stay hopeful, family.
