Darkness. Night. Both aspects of life that are temporary. Darkness gives way to light. Night gives way unto day. But how can I avoid this cycle of day and night?
The Apostle Paul offers that we have the opportunity to BE the light and day. He says, “You are all the children of light, and children of the day.” (1 Thessalonians 5:5) If I carry the light of Jesus in me, if I allow the Day Star to continuously arise in my heart, I can BE the source of light and day.
Do I shine? Do I allow Jesus to shine through me? Can I be the light in someone else’s darkness?
May we always see ourselves as God sees us! May we see ourselves as light. May we embrace our truth of being children of the day
