Sleepy. Lethargic. Unaware. In this age where the soul and spirit are incessantly attacked by negative forces, it’s easy to retreat to a safe and weary repose. But we’re being shaken awake by Jesus.
“Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light.” (Ephesians 5:14) Despite the onslaught that makes us want to retreat, we need to see the value of being awake, vigilant, and sober.
We’ve been awakened by the Spirit. We’ve been raised to life. And we shall receive from Jesus the needed light to be valiant soldiers of Jesus.
