It’s true! I’ve experienced it. Cities set on a hill shine forth the life that lives within them. In Congo, a very dark locale, any hilltop neighborhood can welcome home the weary by its light.
As believers, we are that beacon in the darkness. Jesus, the Light, reminds us, “A city set on a hill cannot be hid.” (Matthew 5:14b) The Architect of our city intentionally designed us to sit atop a hill. He wants us to shine. He desires that we welcome home the weary by illuminating the pathway back to His warmth, comfort, and acceptance
