Although the nation of Israel faced dire consequences for not choosing to make a change, we also can face the fallout of our own destructive habits.
“-make a new heart and a new spirit; for why will you die, O house of Israel?” (Ezekiel 18:31b) For Israel, the choice was simple: change or die. Though we rarely face physical death as a result of our unwise decisions, we do risk the death of hope, the death of a healthy future.
May we take seriously the results of not implementing change in our lives. May we change our hearts, change our spirits, and secure our hopeful, healthy future.
