Many good kings over the millennia desired the chance to lift up their people. By raising the opportunity for industry and prosperity, a king could actually leave a legacy of goodness and hope. But one King surpassed them all.
The wise men, seeking Jesus, asked: “Where is He that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east, and are come to worship Him.” (Matthew 2:2) King Jesus, the King of the Jews, was the embodiment of a multitude of prophecies throughout ancient writing. But the legacy He offered was different-eternal-and full of hope.
This season, let’s celebrate the King that excels all earthly kings, King Jesus!
