Is the process of putting off the old man and putting on the new one a once-in-a-lifetime event? Or does it happen regularly and consistently? And by what method is it accomplished?
“…the new man-renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him.” (Col. 3:10b) This phrase seems to be saying that the new man is birthed from renewed knowledge, a fresh perspective of the Creator. And studying God’s image can bear fruit that reflects itself in my own heart and mind.
That new man? That’s a goal. Gradually, over a lifetime, I become fresh, alive, and new like my Creator.
