If we need hope…activated in us by the mercy of the Father, what is the method or strategy by which it is acquired?
“-a lively hope…by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (1 Peter 1:3b) True, the work of hope begins in the heart of the Father. But it is completed by the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. The fear of death robs many of a lifetime of hope. But Jesus took care of this problem.
When Christ rose again, He defeated death and removed its power over us. That discouragement of hopelessness was vanquished. So, in truth, a lively, fresh, vibrant hope is acquired by trusting that the resurrection of Jesus personally impacts our own eternity. Hope!
