“Cast away from you all your transgressions-and make-a new spirit” (Ezekiel 18: 31) Is our spirit really different from our heart? Actually, yes. Our heart is our seat of emotion. But our spirit is the seat of our volition or will.
Having an emotional desire for change is a good first step. But the will needed to follow through is drawn from the well of our spirit.
Our spirit is our real, alive, eternal part. Let’s dig into our spirit, ask God to make it new, and then utilize it to implement positive changes in our lives.
