Jerusalem's New Name Part 4

Isaiah 62:1-3

For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace,

And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,

Until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness,

And the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness,

And all kings thy glory:

And thou shalt be called by a new name,

Which the mouth of the Lord shall name.

Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord,

And a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

And that new name? What will be the result of renewal and refreshing? How will Jerusalem

march into their new future? “Which the mouth of the Lord shall name.Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord. And a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.” (Isaiah 62:3)

Jerusalem gets to be both a crown of glory and a royal diadem. The glory of this purged and purified city will adorn the kingdom of God’s dear Son, Jesus.

So what is that new name? You’ll have to check it out in Isaiah 62:4. It’s right there!
