Garden Club Reflections- Heal the Broken

Jesus expounds on His other prophesied ministry goals, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me…He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted…” (Luke 4:18). First, making the hope of the gospel available to the poor, then healing those hearts broken by fiscal and spiritual and emotional poverty? Jesus truly connects with His created peoples by offering them internal and external healing.

               In our fast-paced era in human history, we crave the time spent lingering with our Wounded Healer, learning His ways, adopting His truths for wholeness and liberty, even from a broken heart. Jesus knows His job description and fulfills it with the skill of an Artisan and practice of a Physician. Let’s trust our souls and spirits to His gentle touch.
