Garden Club Reflections: Fear Not

Psalm 46:1-3 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.”

          Psalm 46-48 is a prophecy trilogy, adding insight to the end times as described in Revelation. Verse 2-3 here appear to be sharing of a season where the earth is reacting with turbulence, almost reeling under the weight of humanity’s sin and violence.

          And yet with God as Refuge, we are declaring a life free from fear. As we trust our strong Fortress, we can walk boldly through this season in human history. Let us not fear. Let us trust our Judge, our Refuge, our Strength. We are already inside Jesus, the Ark of Safety. Rest, weary soul.
