Forget the Former

Sometimes, Old Testaments prophecies get lost in the pages of antiquity. We unwisely skim over the warnings but cleave to those future blessings with hope. The book of Isaiah is no exception.

Isaiah offers, “Remember not the former things, neither consider the things of old.” (Isaiah 43:18) This section of verses speaks of a season of future judgment. This tumultuous time will overwhelm the whole planet and its population. In order to embrace the hope and promise of the kingdom, we will first need to acquire a bad memory. And, I personally believe that God will help us with that.

During those early kingdom days, we will need to forget the pain of the judgment years. We’ll need to embrace the hope of our Creator and King.

Forgetting the past paves the way for tremendous change in our future!
