The prophecy of the birth of the Messiah in Isaiah 9:6 is beautiful and powerful. It speaks of His birth and first coming, as well as His kingly second coming. Many names in this foretelling are attributed to this amazing King, and one of them has to do with peace.
Isaiah 9:6 offers, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given…his name shall be called…The Prince of Peace.” Jesus came both as a child born and a son given. This incredible God-Man will one day rule a global kingdom as The Prince of Peace. Peace will be the prevailing theme of His 1000-year kingdom.
This Christmas may we focus our hearts on The Prince of Peace, Jesus, and His coming kingdom!
