Garden Club Reflections: Quietness and Confidence

God offers an amazing strategy for surviving a chaotic era. “For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; ‘In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength:’ and you would not.” (Isaiah 301:15) This message is practically a helping hand from God for His weary nation…a hand they rejected, sadly.

               Let focus on the first strategy, “returning and rest.” Returning is a key aspect of genuine repentance, turning back to God, re-prioritizing His goals and hopes. And rest is the result of that return. God holds out a welcoming hand, begging us to grasp it, to run to His embrace, and then find rest in His plan. Let’s accept this glorious strategy for a restless age.
