Are our minds alive? Do we think with a vital facet of our being that can become weary and worn out? If yes, then how can we skillfully renew our minds?
One verse advises, “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind…” (Ephesians 4:23) It seems prudent to realize our own value. Our minds, that spiritual part of us that processes data, needs regular maintenance to stay fresh, new, and sharp.
This command to renew our minds follows the first piece of wisdom, “-put off the old man.” So, in truth, faithfully spring cleaning our spirits can better prepare our minds for our greater tasks.
Therefore, one way to push the reset button for our minds is to declutter our spirit by a regular “putting off” process. We are valuable. And our minds deserve this regular refreshing program.
