New Man

So, one aspect of keeping our minds refreshed, renewed, and ready for service is by “putting off” the old us. But is there not more to the process?

The same passage adheres, “And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” (Ephesians 4:24) Not only is it important to spring clean our spirits to protect our minds, but we also must “put on” the new man.

We can do this by first remembering that we are new. We have a new spiritual DNA, a nature gifted to us by Jesus through a work of the Spirit. And second, we must faithfully practice putting on those “good for us” thoughts and attitudes.

“Put off-renew-put on” is a three-step process for staying that fresh vessel that God can use.
